Hemkunt Foundation Gurukul
Hemkunt Foundation Gurukul is India’s largest not for profit skill development centre based in Madhya Pradesh. We will impart skill training to 1000 students over 3 years in our academy which is planned on a built-up area of 2,10,000 sq. ft out of which 55,000 Sq. ft. has been constructed. The Gurukul will provide skill training, which will enable them to earn a livelihood. We have started with Computer and Stitching classes in our first batch.
HF Mobile 100
HF Mobile 100 aims at bringing impact to patient lives with the provision of healthcare in the remote regions and villages of India. Hemkunt foundation aims to deploy 100 Mobile medical units doing a yeoman service in rural India with a plan to position these units across 21 states, to help millions of Indians with primary healthcare. Each MMU caters to an average of 110 patients every day.
Langar on Wheels
We aim at curating nutritious meals for school children to help them maintain a balanced diet and aid them in meeting their daily requirements of each macro-nutrient. We plan to provide a pre-set 5-day menu, made with a variety of vegetables & high nutritional ingredients.
Rukh Parshad
Since 2015, the Foundation has been organising the Rukh Parshad campaign, during which 50,000 saplings are distributed to devotees at Gurudwaras as parshad. Because of the environmental concern and vision that the 7th Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji, developed during his lifetime, this initiative is dedicated to him.
Dhabba Nahi
Dhabba Nahi is aimed at making available the very basic accessories to ensure safe and hygienic menstruation with a pack of sanitary pads, bathing soap, washing bar and shampoo. Every month, we impact 10,000 women across India through conducting workshops and giving out sanitary napkins and kits to the marginalised for free.
Beach clean-up drive
A measure taken to reduce the misery and harm we are causing to our oceans and marine life. We’ve committed to cleaning Mumbai’s various beaches every Saturday with the help of our network of volunteers. As part of the cleanup effort, individuals and businesses join us in order to support the cause and raise public awareness of the problems with environmental degradation.
Mental Health
Post COVID we have initiated free therapy sessions for people who do not have access to quality mental health care. We are also encouraging young people to upend stigmas around mental health and a panel of 11 RCI licensed therapists are on board with us working 24/7 to provide support where needed.
Employment Generation
While the country battled with the pandemic, 1 crore people were left unemployed, rendering families – wage-less, resulting in populations going hungry and children losing education opportunities. To help these low-income groups the Foundation provides e-Rickshaws, Food Trucks and Sewing Machines for tailors, especially for those women who had to sell their source of livelihood for financial gains.
Winter Clothing Drive
Every year in the winter months, our team of volunteers distribute new woolen blankets, warm winter clothing and shoes to the underprivileged across the country.
